Palinka Hotel

Project 1 designs a shop that uses architecture and light as packaging for 3 flavours of chocolate. Customers walk through the shop differentiating the taste of each chocolate through their perception of the colour ‘red’.

Building project: a micro-distillery and hotel exploring the interaction between tasting experience and the perception of colour. Carved out the hills of Buda it uses discreet materials to blend into the Budapest’s landscape during the day but comes alive in saturated brightness at night when the hotel welcomes guests to enjoy palinka in special tasting rooms located around the hotel. When the hotel’s restaurant is converted to farmer’s market, guests’ interaction with the locals give them an opportunity to understand Hungarian culture.
